The Maschhoffs

Dave and Karen Maschhoff are part of the 5th generation to actively participate in the family farm business, The Maschhoffs. Both have held a variety of positions in their tenure with the Maschhoff family business. Currently, Dave serves as Senior Consultant to the Pork Business Leadership Team and Karen works in the Purchasing Department for the company.

Karen Maschhoff grew up near Germantown, Illinois, where her family operated a grain and poultry farm. She is a graduate of Kaskaskia College as well as the Agriculture Leaders of Tomorrow (ALOT) program sponsored by the Illinois Farm Bureau. In addition, Karen is very active in civic and agricultural organizations. She received the Bellringer Award for distinguished service from the Little Egypt Pork Producers association and has served on the board of the Illinois Pork Producers Association. She is currently on the board of directors for the Hoyleton Children’s Home Foundation and has been active in local school and church committees for over 20 years.

Dave Maschhoff grew up on the family farm near Carlyle, Illinois. He is a graduate of Southern Illinois University—Carbondale, receiving a Bachelor’s Degree in General Agriculture in 1979. Dave was awarded the Service to Agriculture Award in 2005 from the College of Agricultural Sciences at SIU-Carbondale. He is also a graduate of the Agricultural Leaders of Tomorrow (ALOT) program sponsored by the Illinois Farm Bureau. Dave has served ten years on the Clinton County Farm Bureau board in addition to serving on the local school board and church committees. He is currently an elder at Trinity Lutheran Church in Hoffman, Illinois.

Dave and Karen have three children, Josh, Ryan, and Nicole, all of whom graduated from or are currently attending the University of Illinois.
