Spreading Winter Warmth

CARLYLE, IL (January 3, 2018) — The Maschhoffs recently held a donation drive with Carlyle employees to collect new and gently used winter clothing as well as toys for local distribution. The effort garnered six large boxes to benefit the Carlyle Jaycees’ “Share the Warmth Clothing Drive”.

“We actively participate in multiple community service projects throughout the year, and are always looking for new ways to make a difference,” Linda Palm, coordinator for The Maschhoffs’ donation effort says. “Along with the holiday season comes cold weather. When we heard about this project from the Carlyle Jaycees, we knew it was something worthwhile to rally behind.”

The Maschhoffs’ employees donated everything from hats, gloves and coats to unwrapped toys to give to local families in need. Representatives from the Jaycees stopped picked up all six boxes of donations on December 14, 2017.

“Our Share the Warmth Clothing Drive has been a huge success,” Kate Luebbers of the Carlyle Jaycees says. “The support we’ve received from community members and businesses like The Maschhoffs to help our community has been overwhelming. We are excited to carry out this effort in future years.”

The Carlyle Jaycees is a nonprofit organization of young, active citizens ages 18-40. Their purpose is dedicated to creating positive change in the community. For more information on the Jaycees and their work visit https://www.facebook.com/CarlyleJaycees/.
