Heartland

With farms in Iowa, the Heartland Region serves primarily as a commercial finishing region with an annual production of approximately 2 million market hogs. The region has several company-managed farms, but is predominately comprised of Production Partner farms and relationships spread across northern, western, and central portions of the state.

Heartland Leadership

Josh Linde is responsible for leading the Heartland Region team as Senior Director of Production. Josh grew up on a farm in Iowa, where his family raised pigs, cattle and row crops. From there he graduated Iowa Central in 2004 then worked for a company building hog barns before joining The Maschhoffs in 2009. Food safety and raising animals in a stress-free environment allows Josh Linde to provide a safe product for his family and consumers. Linde owns and operates his own farm, which markets 9,600 pigs annually, and works full-time for The Maschhoffs.
