The Maschhoffs Celebrates Matching Donation for John Wood Community College Ag Center

The JWCC Ag Center serves as a vital hub for agricultural education, training, and research, equipping students with the necessary skills and knowledge to thrive in the ever-evolving agricultural industry. Recognizing the importance of fostering educational opportunities, The Maschhoffs initiated a matching donation program to further enhance the capabilities of the Ag Center.

Laila Beck, Freshman studying Animal Science comments that the “hands on experience is a huge advantage.” “The community benefits too in that the arena, conference room and kitchen are available to use for events, reflects Marcus Perry, student at JWCC.”

The official dedication and ribbon cutting ceremony was held on August 9, 2022 with classes starting in the fall semester. Local community members, businesses, and production partners, all eager to contribute to the growth and development of agricultural education gathered for the ceremony. The Maschhoffs is deeply grateful for the overwhelming support received from the community, which demonstrated their shared commitment to empowering the next generation of agricultural leaders.

Speaking on behalf of The Maschhoffs, Jeff Mahoney, General Manager of Central Prairie, expressed gratitude, saying, "We are incredibly humbled and proud to witness the generosity and collaboration displayed by our community and production partners. This achievement underscores the significance of investing in agricultural education, and we are thrilled to have played a part in supporting the John Wood Community College Ag Center. Together, we are paving the way for a stronger and more vibrant agricultural industry."

Ken and Julie Maschhoff “extends their deepest appreciation to all individuals, businesses, and organizations that contributed to this matching donation program”. The collective impact of these donations will positively shape the future of agricultural education, benefiting not only the students but also the broader community and the industry as a whole.
